GreenZyme® EEOR solution catalyzes reactions between the oil, the rock and water for improved oil well productivity and enhanced oil field recovery.
With direct effect on on Polar Forces, GreenZyme has been proven to reduce Interfacial Tension, interfere with the attachment behavior of crude oil to change oil-rock wettability improving crude oil drainage and recovery.
GreenZyme® changes the adhesion behavior clean the oil from the rock surface and creates a positive enzyme-water skin, preventing re-attachment of oil.

Case Study Snapshot: La Salina Field, Venezuela
In 2000, the La Salina Field in Lake Maracaibo faced a familiar challenge: numerous oil‑saturated wells with restricted flow and declining performance. Well TJ‑1319 was selected for a long‑term pilot to evaluate how repeated GreenZyme® enzyme treatments could support enhanced oil recovery (E‑EOR) over time.
TJ‑1319 had a history of blockage, unconsolidated sands, and paraffin buildup—conditions that limited drainage and permeability. GreenZyme® had already shown strong results in single huff‑and‑puff applications, but this pilot marked the first multi‑treatment program of its kind in South America.
Results in the Field
After each enzyme stimulation:

Total fluid production increased, with water produced first as the wellbore cleared, followed by a sustained rise in oil rate.

Blockages were removed, improving permeability and payzone drainage.

Oil recovery stayed above baseline for up to 12+ months before gradually tapering.

GreenZyme® proved effective in wells impacted by unconsolidated sands and paraffin restrictions.
Long‑Term Performance
Over a 16‑year span, TJ‑1319 received six GreenZyme® applications. Every treatment delivered a measurable increase in BOPD, with no negative operational effects reported.
Across the first five treatments alone, the well averaged a 335% increase in daily oil production and delivered more than 608,000 barrels of additional oil in the first eight years of the program.
